|NAGOMBE DELIVERS SPEECH MARKING THE END OF HIS TWO YEARS TENURE AS COORDINATOR AS HE LISTS HIS NUMEROUS ACHIEVEMENTS|
As his two years tenure elapsed, Rev. ( Hon.) Nagombe Joseph Titus, the coordinator NGADA SDA has listed about fifty one achievements he has made within his two years of piloting the affairs of the development area under the leadership of His Excellency arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, the executive Governor of the Taraba state.
In a speech delivered marking the end of his two years tenure at a meeting with the staff of the development area at the Anna Darius NGADA Special Development Area Secretariat immediately after a strenuous junior staff screening organized by the management, Nagombe outlined his achievements in office from the time he was given the mandate in December, 2016 by His Excellency, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku the executive Governor of Taraba State.
Few among the achievements he mentioned include but not limited to: the construction of Anna Darius NGADA Special Development Area Secretariat, Employment of one hundred and sixty junior staff, recruitment of over fifty vigilante group members, construction of Sunkuru clinic, doctor’s residence, police station, eight blocks of three classrooms with office and store in four different communities, skills acquisition centre, three health centres through the CSDP, ongoing NGADA Cocoa plantation projects in Amburu and Nyakwe with over one hundred and fifty thousand seedlings and stands planted, engagement of casual staff to man the Cocoa farm, creation of NGADA chiefdom, coronation of NGADA third class chief, construction of the Sunkuru Lodge by investors, purchase of motorcycles, successful implementation of NGADA five years strategic plan etc.
Nagombe started by appreciating Governor Darius, His wife, Barr. Anna, the Hope Afresh Foundation, the Taraba State House of Assembly with the judiciary etc who through their efforts NGADA was created. He appreciated the support and cooperation he received from the managing director of the CSDP and the Taraba State water board. The coordinator also thanked his deputy Hon. Ishaku Shamaki for his loyalty and commitment to duty, the secretary of the development area Mr Solomon E. Tanny for his vast administrative knowledge, his directors and all his advisers and aides who according him gave maximum cooperation in reaching such a milestone.
In a brief history of NGADA which he initiated and championed the cause, Nagombe said NGADA was created with the aim of turning the rural area to urban community. He reiterated his determination toward drawing out another fifty years NGADA development strategic plan which he said in fifty years to come the area will turn to an urban area. He also noted that NGADA will introduce special tax system which will be used to hasten the development of the area.
Speaking on his next tenure, Hon. Nagombe stated his major priority would be placed on Education, Health and agriculture. To achieve these, he noted that the blueprint on the prioritized areas has been drawn and all mechanism toward getting them workable has been mapped and put in place.
The coordinator hinted that to effect his priority, he has reshuffled and increased the number of the staff in education department. He warned against any staff absconding from duty and getting admission into any institution without prior knowledge of the management.
The coordinator announced the dissolution of his advisers and those placed under his deputy with effect from may 2019 ending. He however noted that the appointment of some of his aides were still maintained.
In another development, last week the coordinator has launched another cocoa plantation farm in Nyakwe with about thirty thousand seedlings planted.
