A MESSAGE TO JESSE JOSEPH (JEBLINX)
WHY “THE EPISTLE” WILL GO INTO EXTINCT IN NO DISTANT TIME
Parental chastisement which is not limited to just how parents control their children but extend to how persons in high pedestal reprimand their wards or subject. Corrections must not just be done objectively and courteously but must be done with wisdom or least the purpose for reprimanding will be defeated. I was told and I learnt over time that “when a mosquito rests on a testis, then we will know that there other means of resolving issues than employing harsh and violent means.
When one is aggrieved, it is wise and civil for him to employ either negotiation, conciliation, or mediation to see that a mutual agreement is reached. Engaging individuals in a battle of wits and words does more harm than good. Thus, the end will always not justify the means.
The resent release of a track titled “THE EPISTLE” by JEBLINX has caused and raised a lot of sagacious controversies. To different persons the lyrics of the track was or is interpreted differently; each person exercising his or her right of opinion and thoughts. I obviously have no issue with however each person take the track to mean. Nevertheless, my contention here is whether or not the muse behind the track was from a mere sense of inclination or a diligent sense of duty.
Whichever way, I opine that Jesse Joseph (Jeblinx) wrongly tread a right route in addressing the issues and mayhem in the Taraba State Entertainment Industry. He was not objective and courteous, thus punctured other rappers’ pride. Jeblinx would not know how much damage he has caused the industry by sectioning certain rapper to high pedestal and others he belittled. I will be correct therefore to say that with release of the Track, the industry will be sectionalized as a clear picture of a rainbow is painted where some colours are brighter than others.
Before he and others will argue that he has good intention, may I then remind them that ‘ an intention from a sense of inclination is a wrong and bad intention no matter how well meaning it may seem.
I am not a prophet of doom, but I apt to say that the song will make no head ways because it is driven on a wheels of inclination, thus it will meet a lot of oppositions and stumbling blocks. The song going into extinction is inevitable.
It is not too late Jeblinx, to have a pause of thought, and a rethink. Make a U-turn and resolve to other feasible means of correcting the issues and mayhem in the industry. The track you are treading is not so good for and will invariably bring about your fall.
