A delegation of some pastors and elders sent by Rev. Dr Samson I. Ngenemi, president of the Mambila Baptist Convention of Nigeria led by Rev. (Hon.) NAGOMBE Joseph Titus, the coordinator NGADA Special Development Area who also is the Vice President, has paid a congratulatory visit to Rev. Dr. Isaiah Magaji Jirape on his victory as the state chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Taraba State.
Speaking as they register their felicitation with the CAN state chairman, Rev. Nagombe stated that they had come in the spirit and love of belonging to the same umbrella of a Christian body, that is TEKAN, the delegation visit was a show of solidarity to his leadership as being from the TEKAN. He narrated how the chairman’s mother church , CRC-N, has enjoy reasonable relationship and cordiality with the TEKAN/TEKAN-ECWA in all their affairs citing that in all the MBCN’s yearly congresses, they always invite either the CRC-N president or his vice as the guest minister Which has solidified their relationship in TEKAN.
The delegation also used the avenue to register their congratulations to the CRC-N president, Rev. Dr Caleb O.S Ahima on his election as the vice president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). They also prayed that God will give them the wisdom to lead the Christian body at both the state and national level.
On his part, Rev. Jirape appreciated the MBCN pastors for the solidarity visit. He stated that his mission was to: ensure that the Christian body was united and well represented across the state, ensure that the interest of the Christians was given necessary recognition and to liase with the present government to ensure that good governance was achieved in the state.
